WHO WE ARE
The Bosveldboerbokklub, (BBK) is a goat club of which the boundaries, as determined by the South African boer goat association, (SABGA) are as follows: The northwest province north of the N1 Highway and includes Rustenburg and Brits. The whole of the Limpopo Province. The Mpumalanga province, North of the N4 National road and the Gauteng province North of the N4 National road and includes Pretoria. We as the Bosveldboerbokklub has been allocated this area to:
Market the breed
Enroll new members and educate them
Support members
Protect and act according to the rules and regulations of the SABGA
Assist new members
Ensure the promotion of the breed
Generate income through sustainable improvement and the hosting of auctions and open days.
To reach these goals, the club requests that the following procedures shall be followed. The BBK requests that:
SHOWS:
Any member may participate in a BBK show:
As long as the required entry form has been completed and reach the show committee on time.
As long as the show rules as set out in the various show’s requirements have been met.
As long as his payments has been received in accordance to the show organizers.
As long as he adheres to the rules and regulation as set out by the SABGA.
AUCTIONS:
STUD AUCTIONS:
Any member may participate in a BBK stud auction:
As long as the seller is a paid up member of the BBK.
As long as the required entry form has been completed and reach the auction committee on time.
As long as the auction rules as set out in the various auction requirements have been met.
As long as his payments has been received in accordance to the auction organizers.
As long as he adheres to the rules and regulation as set out by the SABGA.
COMMERCIAL AUCTION:
Any member may participate in a BBK commercial auction:
As long as the required entry form has been completed and reach the auction committee on time.
As long as the auction rules as set out in the various auction requirements have been met.
As long as his payments has been received in accordance to the auction organizers.
As long as he adheres to the rules and regulation as set out by the SABGA.
PRODUCTION AUCTIONS:
The BBK requests that any member of the SABGA may host a production sale in the BBK geographical area:
As long as he totally complies to the requirements and rules as set out by the SABGA.
As long as the seller is a paid up member of the BBK.
As long as he has attended one show during the year of his production sale, which has been organized by the BBK
As long as he has attended one auction during the year of his production sale, which has been organized by the BBK
As long as he has applied for the date of his production sale with the chairperson of the BBK to allow for planning.
This ethical code will ensure the sustainability of the BBK and its members and ensure the improvement of the breed in our region.
